Social Media Services

August 24th, 2009

As a leader in your social benefit organization, you constantly seek ways to engage your audience in more meaningful ways, build trust with your constituents and deepen your relationships with a community that cares about your mission.

Social media tools are not an end in themselves however they are powerful, connecting and necessary tools that can support the real world work of your organization.

My consultancy, in partnership with my web design partner, Alain Hurtubise of iAutomate.ca provides the following services:

  • We design and implement web platforms that feature a rich set of social media tools for engaging service users, stakeholders and supporters.
  • We help organizations create effective online social media communication plans & help staff select the appropriate tools to further Mission, Vision & Values;
  • We provide support and training to staff in using content management systems so organizations can fully control their content and communication strategy;
  • We help non profits make sense of social web technologies then harness these tools to build relationships and restore community – with your own staff team.

A few of the work literacy needs that I am able to address include:

  • increasing staff digital literacy by providing workshops and retreats that gives participants hands on experience in using freely available social media tools to improve work and learning skills
  • promoting life long learning and ongoing professional development
  • building the skills and knowledge of your workers to support the retention and development of high quality staff
  • creating online campaigns that engages web site visitors so they can become content contributors
  • integrating online communication strategy with your programming, policies and business  departments
  • leveraging your web presence or web site with online tools that allows you to reach supporters and donors, volunteers, and the media more effectively
  • designing appropriate online solutions that help improve individual, team or organizational benefits and networking activities
  • training staff to be online facilitators or help you think through an online community project
  • supporting staff in creating personal learning environments (PLE) so that learning becomes continuous and not dependent on event style training experiences
  • increasing access to the hidden assets or tacit knowledge within the organization so that more knowledge sharing can occur
